DWeb Camp 2026, powered by Freifunk

Freifunk Berlin is providing the Network at dwebcamp 2026.

About Freifunk

Freifunk is a grassroots initiative all over Germany, providing free (as in love, not beer) Internet Access.

Neighborhood Walk

We offer walks in Berlin to show you more of our Project.

To sign up for the Wireless Neighborhood Walk on Monday 13-Jul-2026 @ 4pm 3pm, email dweb@stadtfunk.net. English language, max 15 participants each date. We’ll do 1 hour of walking and 1 hour of talking in the Kreuzberg and Neukölln neighborhoods.

We offer variants of the walk which don’t involve stairs or climbing, and with the second half in reasonably accessible cafes with Freifunk wifi (Südblock in Kreuzberg & Klunkerkranich in Neukölln).

Dweb Network

Our Network is slightly differently organized than what you would expect on most Conferences.

We run everything on OpenSource Software. E.g. the Accesspoints (AP) are running OpenWRT).

Each AP is its own network, meshing with all other APs. There is no blocking, traffic shaping or any other interference.

This way you can use it for e.g. p2p messaging apps, without the need to connect to external Servers.

If you have Requests, issues or want to know more, visit us at Tent 7 at the Camp.
